Sparklight Movie Night | Meridian
Every Friday through August, you can enjoy an impressive lineup of family-friendly movies at Settlers Park- for free! This weekly getaway is not just a dash-and-go movie night. You will be greeted by vendors and partners throughout the community so that you are able to enjoy a quick bite to eat, sweet treats, shopping, and giveaways. Located at 3245 N. Summer 2022 |Boise Parks and Recreation Activities, Camps, & Classes
Boise Parks and Recreation is hosting a variety of programs this summer. Sign up for an adult dance class, enroll your child in a summer camp, learn how to play tennis, or choose from a variety of other options. The city of Boise has put together this amazing, informative guide to break down all of the choices. There is truly something for everyone, of all ages!
Discovery Center of Idaho
Located on West Myrtle Street, the Discovery Center of Idaho is Idaho’s only hands-on science center, the Discovery Center takes great pride and responsibility in paving the way for interactive science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning and education. There are about 200 exhibits in the center. In addition to the permanent exhibits, the center hosts rotating exhibitions and offers classes on Saturdays during the school year as well as camps for children during school breaks. Currently, the featured exhibit for the summer is Sue. The T. Rex Experience!
Zoo Boise | Butterflies in Bloom
Everyone’s favorite exhibit, Butterflies in Bloom, returns for another summer. Stroll through a flower-filled greenhouse as hundreds of colorful butterflies from Costa Rica fly above and all around you. Butterflies in Bloom is open June 1 through September 5 and is included with your zoo admission. Located in beautiful Julia Davis Park, in the heart of Downtown Boise, Zoo Boise is one of the most popular attractions in Southern Idaho as well as a living science facility that is home to over 300 animals from 100 various species. Zoo Boise is a community treasure where more than 350,000 annual visitors of all ages can learn about our natural world and the importance of protecting and preserving it for generations to come.
Beat the Heat | Stay Cool in the Pool
With the summer weather at its peak, we cannot pass up a day filled with splashing and sun tans! The Treasure Valley is host to MANY different options to stay cool in the pool (or splash pad).
